Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actress who was famous as the character Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the telefilm Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC show with the same name; Erica Paget, as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. A native CalifornianSwanson developed an interest in acting while she was young. She started her career as an actress in commercials. In one episode, she appeared in the NBC sitcom, It's Your Move in 1984. In 1986 she debuted in an edgy romantic comedy titled Pretty in Pink. She is best known for the blonde hairlisp and breathless voice she has. Since then she has moved on to playing secondary characters. Swan received an award called the Young Artist Award in 1990 for the best young actress in a horror or mystery film for Flowers in the Attic.
