Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being given 10/10 points at an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became Comaneci's coach who first came across Comaneci at the age of six. Her first competition was at the national junior championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She was the winner in 1970. In 1972, at the communist nations' meet for junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all aspects. At her first competitive event at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals as well with one silver. In 1976, she became the first female athlete in the world to use a backwards-double salto for a dismount off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne into the realm of entertainment began in her teens. Along with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career in entertainment when she was in her teens. Her career began by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. These shows included the ice skating of which was accompanied by theatrical music.
